I'm obviously not talking about the weather when I say it feels like spring but rather the real estate market. Every morning I head to my computer to check on the new listings for the day. For the last month or two there hasn't been much to see.... until the last couple of days. Now that the holidays are over people are starting to put their real estate plans into action. The number of listings has picked up considerably since Monday. And why not? Sellers are getting good prices for their homes and buyers are benefiting from historically low interest rates. It's a cliche I know, but truly there has never been a better time to buy or sell real estate. My advice is if you're thinking of waiting till spring to make a move Spring is Now! Interest rates will rise, and HST will come. These will both affect affordability and therefore both buyers and sellers will be negatively affected.
